Which Course Format Is Right for You?
The CCIM Institute offers a variety of course formats to give provide you with flexibility in choosing the type of course that works best for you. Consider your learning style and ideal class location when deciding on a course that fits your needs
Classroom
Classroom courses and workshops are offered in over 150 cities across the U.S. and in eight countries worldwide. You'll sit with your industry peers and collaborate with them to solve real-world case studies. Classroom education gives you the opportunity to network and learn from your classmates and instructors. The CCIM Institute instructors complete extensive training and bring a breadth and depth of knowledge from various disciplines within the commercial real estate industry.
Online Instructor-Led
The online instructor-led format gives you access to The CCIM Institute's expert instructors without the cost of travel and time away from the office.
You'll master the same concepts taught in the equivalent classroom course, and your only scheduled commitment is participation in online virtual classroom sessions. Students should be comfortable studying independently and with only online interaction with instructors and classmates.
Online core courses (CI101-104) run for five weeks, with twice-weekly, live virtual classroom sessions. During these 75-minute sessions, instructors review course content, answer questions, and encourage discussion. Students can expect to spend 8 - 10 hours per week on the course, including the virtual classroom sessions. Each week of an online course roughly translates to one day of the equivalent in-class course. The online final exam opens after the final virtual session and stays open for seven days.

Online Self-Paced
The CCIM Institute's online self-paced education allows you to progress at your own schedule. Like in-class education, these courses challenge and equip you with the knowledge you need to propel your career and add value for your clients.
When you sign up for online self-paced education, you gain access to the knowledge of experienced The CCIM Institute instructors and have the opportunity to earn elective credit without leaving your home or office.
Online self-paced courses do not have to be completed in one sitting. For designation courses, you will have 90 days to complete the course and review the materials. For Robert L. Ward Center Commercial Real Estate courses, you will have access until the end of the calendar year in which you purchase it.

Virtual
The virtual offering is a condensed version of the popular online instructor-led format that provides enhanced engagement with your industry peers and your instructor. It's designed for students who normally prefer in-person learning, but it's open to anyone who wants to accelerate their career.
