Jerry Dawson, CCIM is a principal with Greenwood CRE and owner of JCDAWSON Global Solutions LLC in Metro Washington DC. He has been a commercial real estate practitioner since 1998 when he started with JLL (NYSE: JLL) in New York City before moving to Duke Realty Corporation (NYSE: DRE). He started his own practice in 2013.

Over his career, Dawson has provided corporate and commercial real estate services to Fortune 100 companies, not-for-profit organizations, government agencies, and high net worth individuals. His largest project was a $953 million, 1.75 million square-foot secured office development for the U.S. Department of Defense. NAIOP Northern Virginia awarded the project “Best Building” and “Best Real Estate Transaction” in 2011 and 2008, respectively.

Dawson is a Senior instructor and a member of The CCIM Institute's faculty cadre since 2017. He has been a capstone advisor for the University of Maryland's Master of Real Estate Development and a guest lecturer at the University of the Virginia Islands (St Thomas).

Dawson is a former navy officer and earned his bachelor's degree from the United States Naval Academy. He also holds graduate degrees from George Washington University and Johns Hopkins University.
