Lydia Bennett, CCIM, CPM, is a commercial real estate specialist who provides brokerage and advisory services to investors, users, developers, and owners. Bennett's extensive experience ranges from the investor and user brokerage/advisory to analysis and recommendation of different real estate decision alternatives. She has analyzed a warehouse conversion from industrial to medical office and lab space; handled analysis and sales of multi tenant office buildings; negotiated long-term leases for industrial, office, retail, and warehouse owners and users; and worked with landowners (including tribal lanations) on entitling and developing raw land for development.
Bennett's past roles include working for two regional developers, Trillium Corporation and Crown Point Development; president of Saratoga Commercial Real Estate; and director of real estate for the Port of Bellingham, including being a part of the brownfield waterfront redevelopment team.
Today, she is owner/president of Commercial Real Estate West Coast in Bellingham, Wash., where she works with numerous clients providing site selection, investment, brokerage, development, and financial analysis consultation services.
She is a senior instructor for The CCIM Institute, who teaches domestically and internationally, and separately has helped develop and provide corporate training for national and international commercial real estate firms. She is on the Western Washington University (WWU) College of Business and Economics (CBE) Executive Advisory Board and is a guest lecturer. She was a finalist for Businesswoman of the Year (2003), was recognize in her community as a “Mover and Shaker” (2004), was named one of the top Seattle Power Women in the commercial real estate industry by Seattle Bisnow (2016), and most recently was named as a Commercial Real Estate Woman of Influence by GlobeSt.com (2021).
