Designee Membership
After earning the CCIM Designation, members obtain the coveted Designee membership. There are life and retired membership types for CCIM Designees, as well as the option to take a leave of absence.

The CCIM Institute Evolves with You
Whether you're moving into a new phase in your career or you're celebrating your 25th year as a CCIM Designee, these special membership categories help meet your needs. Applications for these membership categories are reviewed twice a year at the spring and fall governance meetings.
Life Membership
Life membership acknowledges the time individuals have dedicated not only to The CCIM Institute, but also The CCIM Institute Chapters. Life Members receive 50 percent off of their annual dues
Requirements
- Designees in good standing at the time of application
- Combined age and number of years as an active Designee totaling 80 or more
- 35 service points as explained in the application
- Supporting documentation for service experience
Benefits
Life Members continue to receive full member benefits.
Designee with 25 Years
Designees who have had the CCIM Designation for 25 years or more automatically receive a 10 percent dues reduction. No application required.
Retired Membership
Retired membership is available for individuals who want to retain the CCIM Designation, but are no longer actively working in commercial real estate and therefore do not need access to full member benefits. To reflect this status, retired members may use the Designation "CCIM (Retired)." Annual dues are $125.
Requirements
- Designees in good standing at the time of application
- Combined age and number of years as an active Designee totaling 80 or more
- No longer active in a full-time capacity in the real estate industry
Benefits
Retired members will retain their listing in the Find a CCIM directory and will also continue to receive their subscription of CCIM Connections magazine.
Leave of Absence
Leave of Absence Status may be granted to a Designee in good standing, at time of application, who does not wish to continue as a Designee for the upcoming year. Designees approved for Leave of Absence are no longer entitled to use the The CCIM Institute logo and/or trademark until membership is reinstated. No services are provided for duration of the leave.
Application must be received by January 1 of the year of Leave of Absence is requested. Leave will be granted for a period of no more than five (5) years, upon annual application. An annual fee of $50 will be assessed.
